get more confident and comfortable talking French;
stop worrying about making mistakes;
experience grammar in context
extend your everyday vocabulary ;
improve pronunciation and fluency

through drama and improvisation activities adapted to French learning.

How does it work?

The workshops are based on various, challenging and fun activities in wich you use your language skills in a natural way.
This open approach encourages creativity, imagination, and trying things out you aren’t quite sure of – an essential part of improving your language skills. It will help you develop confidence in speaking French, expand your vocabulary, improve pronunciation and fluency and so more…

How are the workshops organised?

We are 2 teachers. I take care on developing your confidence in speaking French and bring you to get over the fear of mistakes through drama activities while Sara focus on language corrections and puts the emphasis on pronunciation.

The sessions are carefully put together to include a range of practical and energising activities:

  • warm-up (movement and vocal exercises) ‒ get to know the rest of the group, shake off your inhibitions and relax from the stress of the day so far
  • voice skills – pronunciation, articulation, story-telling, projecting your voice…
  • colouring speech ‒ using intonation, word stress, pauses,… for enriching spoken French
  • guided improvisation – mime, playlets …
  • drama games – re-interpreting episodes or ideas from French writers:

Our classes are based on trust and respect: I take care providing a safe, challenging learning environment where everyone feel comfortable.

Do you need any previous experience of improvisation?

You don’t need any drama skills or experience with improvisation ‒ these are just techniques we explore in order to practice and improve communication skills in French.

How good does your French need to be?

Anyone from lower-intermediate French level can take part. You have to understand everyday conversation and be able to speak about you and your interests.

If you are note sure about it, don’t hesitate to call me or send me an e-mail.
